The veil so thin at this time of day, or is it night, the gossamer strands catch the day's fading beams, to draw the eye toward specks of light which in no other time would show, exquisite pieces of silver and gold each delicately and specifically made by a practiced hand, laid upon the cushion of black silk, spread over a small area of ground, to reveal her wares....pearls, although some called them Teardrops of the Sea....prominently seen from the walkway through the marketplace, yet the artisan, not so much. Glory belongs to the sea and her own masterpieces, first.

He had entered the market through some of the side streets and Many detours trying to escape the prying eyes of the public. Once he reached the stalls he began to search for specific raw resources, metal and leather where the two most abundant he searched for. His eyes searching each stall carefully for any impurities in the resource itself. Though he would soon come across the girl with the veil and that would catch his eye, he would look down and wonder slowly toying with his fingers-slowly toying with eachother as he thought. "May i?" He motioned to a peice. "To examine that is...." His voice rather rough a visable scar could be seen in his pale throat as he cleared his throat sounding rather gentler. "Im sure if you allow such it will be easier for me to make a purchase."

The voice came from the shadows, soft and sultry, like falcon jesses tinkling upon the wind, but a falcon cannot really taste the flight of freedom so bound, tis only when the binds are loosed that she has the gift of flight or the wisdom to stay and observe. "But of course, good Sir. None other reveals quite so much or in the same manner as the touch of one who knows what he touches." She leaned forward, then, a delicate, long finger, plain of jeweled adornment, whisped away one fold of the
silk to reveal another row of pearls....set in rings, pendants, earrings, and a few loose left to the purchaser's possible desire. Bright blue eyes, clear and deeply colored, like the aqua sea on a cloudless spring morning, looked at him from behind her cover, inquisitive yet not prying. "What may I tell you of the Mother's gifts, if anything?" meaning the pearls, not wishing to offend if he had experience, but offering if he had a question.

"Material, everything that is created uses a material, or anything special about these just for the fine craftmanship." He reached down and picked up a ring slowly turning it in his fingers, his other hand Fumbling with his other fingers. "They are beautiful... I seek a set, Though not for wearing, for my next masterpeice, A blade with jewels upon a chain, wether it is attached to a ring, a amulet. Does not matter but the right jewel is required for the Value of the blade." He smirked- And placed the ring down and chuckled. "But before i make any purchases i want to know more about the Crafter, ive been cursed far to many times not to desire such.."

Tilting her head like a dove to catch his words, the tone of his inflection, she listened intently, what he sought she, too, had questions of, but only to be sure she might offer him the proper piece....his last statement one of surprise and meant for her, not the pearls? Unusual, but with the arcane in abundance, one could not be too careful, if that was indeed his reference. "None are cursed, if that is your meaning. The only magic they are fashioned with is the skill, however humble, it is of my own hands, and the guidance of the Mother to guide me to her own teardrops. I dive in the bay for them personally, choose only the ones She would have me take, never overharvesting, bring them to shore to clean and polish them myself. I have not been in this land for very long and make no employment of anyone to assist me, so they cannot be contaminated by disreputable magic, shall we say, in that regard? They are my treasurers, mine alone. If you do not see exactly here what you had in mind, I can search the sea for them, upon my return to her. Tell me again....you wish to adorn the hilt of your blade, with the power of these pearls? Or you wish to adorn a tethering piece for your dagger with them? it makes a difference, in the size and luster, and even shape...for you want a smoothness to rest against your hand, just so....when you finger your blade...." and here her fingers touched the inside of his palm, running slightly along the etchings of his lifeline, to illustrate.."but if you adorn a chain or scabbard, the shape is less important. yes?" Her fingers left his hand and she smiled as she looked into his eyes.

"for something else that i have lost long before this day, It involves a chain as wel las a curved blade.. Great for hooking, though when something looks very nice is adds a factor in the hunt, Curiousity." He chuckled slightly and smiled. "But a medium sized no wider then the Thumb nail.." He chuckled and pointed to one of the rings. "its to be attached to a chain several chains..."

She regarded him thoughtfully, then offered..."To adorn the weapon to enhance its beauty is a noble reason, but the real strength of the pearl lies in the power that it calls forth...it hails the power of the Night, the power of the Moon who rules over the darkness, who controls the ebb and flow of the tides, who allows or denies the densities of the shadows and the creatures that use them, who tells even the great ruler of the day when he can return to her realm...a blade so tethered by the power of the Moon....by the power of Elune....will have great purity of strength, and widsom, once released from such captivity by its Master. Is that something along the lines of what you seek?"

"I assume it could be something i could align, but such power has a great price, Expecially on the mind so how can i pay for such?" He smiled to her and pulled up his own mask to cover his mouth. "A shame i only have my word as of right now."

Her fingers played over a row of perfectly matched 9 millemeter white sea pearls, the luster of which made them glow irresdescently in the quickly fading light of the marketplace, her eyes downcast as she watched them move, and finally her gaze lifted to his, holding steady, but not intense or overbearing. She plucked up four of the pearls and dropped them into a small red velvet pouch, drawing the strings tight to close. "You appear to be an honorable man. Upon giving me your name, I will entrust these into your care, for I do believe you will care for them well." She let the small pouch dangle from her fingers poised in the air above the counter. "What do you say?"

He chuckled softly and nodded. "Darius M'lady, Darius is my name and honor is not exactly a word i would use to place upon me.. What exactly can these do?" reaching forward his palm open waiting to accept the gems. "I dont need any nightmares or transformation bad for buisness." He chuckled again and smirked. "im just a Ranger who was once a blacksmith my dear. But what is your name?"

"Darius." A sudden gust of wind blew through the stall, she had to lean over and hold down the pearls and silks with her hands, lest they be swept away, and in the process, the veil she wore was also swept away, revealing her full face to him. She was resplendid, no physical deformaties to hide, and one might wonder why she kept her secrets. "I am pleased to know you Darius the Honorable." She would use it for him, until it was proven not to be. "I am called by many names, in lands far away from here, but you can call me Rande. Its short for Tyrande." She dropped the pouch into his hand. "Fare thee well Darius the Honorable. May Elune take care of you until we meet again."

"hm... But, as far as this i could stay alittle while... OR even you could come see how i do my own craft, for i am sure you are curious what your gems are going into?" He smiled slightly to her and smirked. This female was rather, Trusting which bothered him someone difficult to read.

She risked a glance to the sky, although night had taken over, and there would be little that could be seen...then again perhaps she did not need to see, exactly, to know. Hands busined themselves tying up the ends of the silk scarves into small knots, securing the pearl treasures inside, which then disappeared about her person, in the folds and billows of the gossamer-gauze gown she wore. "It is time for me to return to the...uh...to my home....for a little while. Perhaps you will be around later? I try to come to the marketplace daily. Got to eat, you know." She gave him a shy smile, the counter was now cleared of all the jewelry. "Or if you wish to talk with me....find the lighthouse....and step to the edge of the sea...where the water meets the sand....call to me. And I will hear."

"Sounds Fancy, The summoning of a dark elven? Wouldnt have expected water to do such...." He chuckled and placed the cloth inside a pouch and placed a hand on it. "I shall see you later then M'lady.."

With his hand upon his chest, guarding the pearls, she could have sworn he appeared to bow to her. A turtledove trilled in the bush over their heads....or was it the sound of her laughter? "I shall hope that will be so, Darius." With a gift of her smile, she backed away into the darkness, gone into the night.

Be still my beating heart
It would be better to be cool
It's not time to be open just yet
A lesson once learned is so hard to forget
Be still my beating heart
Or I'll be taken for a fool
It's not healthy to run at this pace
The blood runs so red to my face
I've been to every single book I know
To soothe the thoughts that plague me so

I sink like a stone that's been thrown in the ocean
My logic has drowned in a sea of emotion
Stop before you start
Be still my beating heart

Restore my broken dreams
Shattered like a falling glass
I'm not ready to be broken just yet
A lesson once learned is so hard to forget

Be still my beating heart
You must learn to stand your ground
It's not healthy to run at this pace
The blood runs so red to my face
I've been to every single book I know
To soothe the thoughts that plague me so

Stop before you start
Be still my beating heart

Never to be wrong
Never to make promises that break
It's like singing in the wind
Or writing on the surface of a lake
And I wriggle like a fish caught on dry land
And I struggle to avoid any help at hand

I sink like a stone that's been thrown in the ocean
My logic has drowned in a sea of emotion
Stop before you start
Be still my beating heart
