The Grounds of Bristle Crios

The Bristle Crios compound sits in the northern forest of RhyDin, directly north of the marketplace. Large wrought iron gates wedged between large boulder stone walls are always open for guests with good intentions. The stone walls seemingly disappear into the forests surrounding the grounds. A short distance up a wide cobblestone road takes you to the center circle of the Bristle Crios compound, where each of the main houses can be seen. Gardens abound by each of the houses. Fields of flowers and vegetables are cut by various small and great lakes across the acreage. Groves of fruit trees blend into the surrounding forests while a few flowering fruit trees dot the landscape providing quick and delicious nourishment for members walking the vast grounds.

Each main house is reserved for specific groups, though our guests and members are welcome to visit or live in any of the other houses. The houses provide great libraries of material based on the needs of its house members, though all are encouraged to read in the libraries of the other houses to learn more outside of your normal talents. Kitchens are always stocked with fresh food and drink, provided free to all on the grounds. It is a system of give and take. Take what you need, give what you can. Many of the harvested fruits and vegetables end up on the dinner table, so we are all grateful to those who tend the gardens. We kindly ask that each guest and member politely clean up after yourself in the kitchens and common rooms to ensure a sense of pride in our little community.

The houses hold more than enough space for any and all members and guests to stay comfortably. Each member or guest may have their own room, or share with family or friends. Private rooms come in a variety of options limited by your own imagination. There are small singles rooms without even a private bathroom. There are many large rooms with a small kitchette and private full bathroom. There are even suites available with several bedrooms or a study and full kitchens and several bathrooms. If your family grows, you are welcome to upgrade your personal private space in any way you deem fit. You may take up residence at any of the houses, despite a formal affiliation with a certain house. Members may also feel free to live off of the grounds if they so choose.

The Houses of Bristle Crios

MAGE HOUSE
The Mage House in the Bristle Crios Coven is reserved for magic users.
Magical qualities abound in Mage house. Don't be surprised if you find new rooms next time you visit. They have a tendency to pop up every once in awhile when more space is needed. There are large and small libraries throughout the house dedicated to volumes of spell books. There are also many outdoor gardens and a massive greenhouse on the grounds where many house members grow produce for potions, elixirs, or dinner for that evening.

VAMPIRE HOUSE
The Vampire House is dedicated to vampiric beings.
Nestled among a deep forest, the Vampire House sits and stalks. Its blood red ivy covering parts of the house hint at its destructive nature. The large windows are automatically covered with UV shielding tapestries once the sun begins to rise. There are small herds of goats and other small livestock in fenced areas in the surrounding forest. The animals sometimes turn up dead on an occasional morning, but no one asks any questions since this helps sustain the community with fresh meat.

ETERNAL HOUSE
The Eternal House is available for those who come from mythical and ancient forces.
The house offers great rooms and facilities providing ample space for our members. Feel free to browse through our libraries to learn more about your mystical abilities. Just because you live forever, doesn’t mean you know everything. Around the house is open land, to allow room for our learning members to practice new abilities. Behind the house, lay an expansive lake and flowing stream, perfect for our water-faring members.

DEMON HOUSE
The Demon House is reserved for those who define themselves as demons or undead.
Based on the architecture from the Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland, Demon House stands high, with large rooms and facilities accommodating even the tallest members. Come walk through our great libraries, full of occult knowledge. Behind the house, sits an immense garden with monumental trees that are rumored to be ancient elementals. By the garden lay a voluminous lake with depths unknown connecting our other lakes through a small stream.

ALCHEMY HOUSE
The Alchemy House is available for those who embrace technology and science.
The house offers many workshops to work on experiments, develop weapons, perfect genetic engineering, and other tasks. The great library is filled with many texts to help to learn new sciences. There are many mad scientists that take refuge in the Alchemy House that are willing to teach, so long as they're not busy cleaning up one of their own messes. When you're experimenting with human genetics, you're bound to crack a few embryos.

WEREWOLF HOUSE
The Werewolf House is assigned to lycanthropes.
Using natural themes, the house features many clustered rooms perfect for packs, or private isolated rooms for the lone wolves. The house is surrounded by thick forest with many trails. The back of the house contains the largest outdoor gym of the houses with tennis courts, swimming pool, soccer fields, running tracks, and other athletic spaces.

WARRIOR HOUSE
The Warrior House in the Bristle Crios compound is reserved for humans.
The house offers many workshops to work on honing your skills, as well as your blade and other weapons. The great library is filled with many texts to help to learn new trades, as well. The Warrior House holds the largest indoor gym of the houses. The first level of the basement is a full of exercise and training rooms, fit for novice fighters and professional warriors.

Mage House

Inside there are several common rooms for lounging about with a good book or to simply become lost in the deep thoughts. Plush and elegant with leather chairs, rich wood tables and dark stone fireplaces. It is not odd to find a member sound asleep on the couch with a thick tome draped over their face. Whole families live within the walls of this manor, making things a bit chaotic, but never dull. Toys have been spotted next to cauldrons and wands. No need to be alarmed if a doll comes flying by in childish glee or a wall randomly opens. This is the average day in the house. Each life is cherished not because of the magic it can or might wield, but for the fact of life itself.

Bright and cheerful, the kitchen is the easiest way to catch a member. The pantry and cabinets are stocked with food from everywhere to make sure that no one starves. If you have no idea how to cook, don't worry, this kitchen has a mind of it's own and if you say please and thank you it is not unheard of to find something made and waiting. Just be sure you are in the right cabinet. Some herb blends were never meant for stew and a house of shrunken mages is difficult to correct when you are the size of a mouse.

There are two different gardens surrounding the manor. One outside and plush all year round with luscious tones of green and hints of rich browns and reds. Heavy river stone pathways whined through the fit to burst beds. Many members return to the gardens for a leisurely stroll taking in the small ponds and decoratively carved stone structures, while others never seem to stop working. Clippers in hand and arms full of the desperately needed fresh supplies no matter the season.

The other garden resides under a massive greenhouse. Plush and stocked with what has been deemed the most needed supplies. A small gravel pathway leads you in and out of the beds for gathering and usually there are a few empty woven baskets at the door for members to use. This greenhouse turns out enough herbs and spices to keep all the house kitchens stocked.

Vampire House

There are large elegant sitting areas, as well as small intimate sitting rooms that are ideal for afternoon plotting. Do not fear the day time hours at Vampire House. All of the windows are covered with thick, UV shielding tapestries that automatically descend once the sun begins to rise and retract after sundown. See our beautiful libraries. There is a small library devoted to different clans of Vampires, as well as a large library offering texts related to possible abilities of vampires.

There is a large kitchen stocked with many common ingredients, as well as a separate cooler for... the House Beverage. In the first sub level, there is a large wine cellar kept with full stock. But don't assume all of the chilled, dark glass bottles are full of wine. Read the labels carefully to find your perfect victim, uh, vintage. There are a few small intimate dining areas offering small alcoves for hidden meetings. There are several large meeting rooms for clan gatherings and other events.

There is a wide selection of rooms to choose from. You may pick a room upstairs or in one of our many sub levels if you prefer to stay hidden underground. Pick a small apartment for you and your family. Choose a suite with a bedroom and office. Select a small one room bedroom. Lay claim to whatever you prefer.

There are a few flowering gardens around the house, filled with evening blooming flowers. There are a few small livestock pens a distance from the house by the surrounding forest. The animals are taken care of by house staff. Some of the animals turn up dead on an occasional morning, but no one asks any questions. House staff butcher the blood drained corpses of the livestock and divide the meat among the houses.

Eternal House

Elegant golds, deep reds, and other rich colors are the main decorative colors throughout the Eternal House. Victorian design is present throughout all of the public areas. Overstuffed chairs and warm lights in the sitting rooms welcome all for any occasion. Large rooms and smaller intimate spaces are perfect for casual meetings or cozy conversations.

The large kitchen holds about every ingredient a member could need. Pixies are ever present in the kitchen and eagerly prepare requested food all day and night, but check your sandwiches because some of the kitchen staff like to play instead of cook and may end up playing hide-and-seek under a toasted bun. The large dining area can accommodate even our largest members of trolls and ogres. Small square tables can easily be lined up against each other to easily fit large groups for an important meeting.

The great library houses all types of mythological tomes, ideal for researching. We apologize if an occasional light may flicker, interrupting your reading; we do have some gremlin members. The house also has a few smaller reading rooms filled with light reading and fiction books. Be sure to check the shelves if you lose your diary, because a few resident fairies believe books belong in the libraries and like to return them to their rightful place.

There are many bedrooms of varying sizes for all types of members. Every room can be modified as a member sees fit. Luckily all walls are sound proof, so you'll never have to worry about your next door neighbor manticore's snoring waking you up in the middle of the night. Rooms are available up our upper floors, as well as our basement floors for members who prefer to live underground.

Behind the house, lay an expansive lake and flowing stream. Gardens surround the house, including many vegetable gardens. Various fruit tress dot the landscaping around the house. A large herb greenhouse garden sits on a large flat area of the roof, also allowing members of the house a perfect lookout over the grounds.

Demon House

The Demon House is a replica of the Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland. The dramatic house holds many intimate sitting rooms to allow for private conversations, but be sure to knock first. Just because a room looks empty, doesn't mean it's not occupied by an invisible ghost. There are a few large common areas for small parties or events in the house, as well.

There are several libraries, as well as one large grand library. Books detailing the dark arts are housed in this library, as well as other necromancy and other ancient texts. A few of our books have a mind of their own and may wonder around the house. Don’t be alarmed if you find one in your room; chances are you’re meant to find it there.

The large kitchen is always fully stocked with fresh meat, fruits, and vegetables. There may be a few potion bottles borrowed from Mage House, but please leave the incantations and spells to the labs in the other workrooms in the house. A few smaller dining areas are located on the first few floors that double as study rooms. The large main dining room is large enough to accommodate all of the house members for great feasts.

Every member is ensured their own living space. Rooms may be shared or private. Bring your family or live alone. Your living space it completely up to you. You may have just a small bedroom, or a suite with a small kitchen alcove with a table and chairs, small sitting room or office, and a separate bedroom. All bedrooms have their own private bathroom, but there are public bathrooms on every floor as well.

Werewolf House

Many members can tolerate the changing seasons of Rhy'din. However for members with specific needs or a new mother brooding over her litter, the indoor forest is wonderful. Taking up the whole back of the house and completely surrounded by glass, the vibrant and lush earth settles the most uneasy of nerves. Changing setting from a waterfall to a building being reclaimed by nature to mist filled hallow this will meet most members tastes. Filled with night blooming flowers so even under the light of the moon, one will be greeted by beauty. Balmy breezes and a set temperature that never goes beyond 75 degrees Fahrenheit this is paradise.

Deep in the depths of the house are isolation chambers. These are designed to help members with anger issues or those who prefer to be alone. Each have heavy wooden or metal doors depending on the personal nature of the member. Inside can be set to their wishes for the most relaxation or soothing a temper. Ranging from expansive libraries filled to the rafters with the cherished treasure of personal collections to a boxer's most intense training room.

Beyond the indoor garden is the sprawling hunting grounds. This section of land is used only by the members of this house. Any other member must gain permission or be guided by a member of werewolf house for safety reasons. A steady supply of wild game is released for a more natural hunting experience. The terrain offers experienced hunters many challenges, while still giving the young pups a fighting chance for their first hunt. Please note that these ground are not for the faint of heart.

Alchemy House

Alchemy house is able to meld a glorious mixture of modern and old world touches. The living rooms or more like secondary work rooms have clean lines and soothing colors so no one can loose track of thought. Leather is used as the main fabric not because of a look, but more to the point that it is durable and so easy to clean. At least until a chemical spill which does happen on occasion.

Gas fireplaces add a touch of home compared to the many rooms that serve as working labs ranging from chemical, to mechanical projects. Glass and plexiglass are another commonly used material in the house. Some of the windows aren't actually windows so be careful. Flat screen monitors allow the member to create the setting best for them to work in.

White walls, white chairs, white table, white..white...except for the pumice and river stone mix under the table. This is to help absorb any foul chemicals dragged in and the white makes it much easier to spot dirt and hazards so the eating hall can be kept a healthy environment. Color changing technology keeps the mood lighting to perfect shades.

A must see just below the dining hall is the bottle room. Bright white walls and plexiglass racks that create stunning arches along the ceiling. Back light in blue it can be overwhelming at first. A word of warning. Be really careful what bottle you pick up. One member might have picked up a bottle of ethyl alcohol instead of moonshine.

Warrior House

The Warrior House holds the largest indoor gym of the houses. Weight rooms, sweat booths, swimming pool, running track, and other training rooms are available throughout the house and basement levels. There are also teaching rooms for offensive and defensive fighting taught by masters in major fighting arts. Archery lanes, shooting lanes, and other ranged weapon training facilities are also available.

The kitchen staff is available around the clock to provide quality meals and snacks. Meals are planned specifically with fitness and dietary needs in mind, though the house offers any dietary demands from our members. The house also offers many workshops to work on honing your skills, as well as your blade and other weapons. The great library is filled with many texts to help to learn new trades, as well.

There are large recreation areas as well, including basketball court, tennis, racquetball, and other sports related areas indoors and outside. There are rooms for smaller recreational activity such as billiards pool table, air hockey, foosball, ping pong, batting cages, and 3D video game systems. To relax, check out the indoor and outdoor pools, as well as the saunas and spas.

Members may choose the size of their desired living space. Some may only require a small office with a sleeping cot, while others might enjoy a large suite with living room, large bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Personal spaces may be modified in any way by members as long as your living space in no way affects any other members.

The welcome center sits at the front of the property just behind the gates of Bristle Crios. Originally the home of Morgan Doyle, Miranda Branson and their adoptive daughter it was converted to the welcome center after Morgan's death.

A white stone pathway leads up to the dark river stone house with a brown roof. The old world styling is what most people see, but this house is enchanted like Mage house and will change it's aesthetic for whatever is needed.

The house functions as a temporary home for new members til they choose one of the houses to call their own, temporary lodging for guests and the location of all moon events and other parties. Members are welcome to reserve the house for any event.

*House build by Heavenly Homes*

The inside of the house will meet every creature comfort of its guests and party goers. It's rooms ranging from simple bedrooms and bathrooms to a grand ballroom, extensive library and conservatory.

The bedrooms and bathrooms range in themes from country cottage to old world elegance. The linens and towels changed daily with small locally handmade soaps, shampoos and conditioners ready and waiting. The layout is open so that larger size guest or of special needs can move about comfortably.

The grand ballroom is designed acoustically for those present to savor the music. Plenty of space for Yaz to dj, a string quartet to serenade or a big brass band to have you dancing the night away. Tucked away in smaller storage rooms are tables, chairs and linens to meet a variety of needs. The chandeliers above can be lowered and curtains pulled back to allow natural light to drift through the near floor to ceiling windows.

There are fresh flowers in all the main rooms provided by the conservatory at the back of the house. The stone paths make it easy to navigate through the plush beds of flowers and shrubbery. There is a small section dedicated as a victory garden, providing fresh produce.

Both Miranda Branson and Fiona O'Neill stop by daily and are only ever a request away if they are needed.

Welcome to our hearth, our heart, our home.

Welcome to Bristle Crios.

Conservatory is Seymour Botanical Conservatory.
Ballroom is Shall We Dance Blog Spot
Bedroom is found at tumbler
