Life could be rough on the mean streets of RhyDin. Every day the papers brought news of murders and assaults, natural disasters and tragic circumstances. However, for the small group of fashion houses up in New Haven there was no crisis bigger than the do or die pressure of putting on the perfect runway show. Designers, stylists, seamstresses, pattern makers, cutters, investors, bookers, and modeling agents all found themselves repeating (often screaming) one thing today: “TWO DAYS! Only two days until Fashion Week begins!”
The clacking of stilettos would be especially loud as fashionistas hit the pavement in a mad frenzy of silk and cashmere to see to last-minute alterations and preparations. There were buyers, editors and socialites to impress, not to mention fabulous after parties to attend.
