The Most Ridiculous Game

The boards and walls and even a few unsuspecting hobos were covered with fliers, all individually scrawled, in a curious purple-silver ink. They read:

“Beware, all! A terrible storm is coming to rain down upon the city of Rhy’din and its peoples, and that storm has a name! TAG is upon us! Should you be approached by a stranger with an odd grin, or a particular twinkle in their eye/eyes/screen/whateverelsetheymightlookthrough, run! You may find yourself TAGGED, and under those terrible circumstances, you just might end up IT. Sure, you think “But IT doesn’t sound so bad, maybe I’ll be more popular and the center of attention!” WRONG. If you find yourself IT, you’ll be avoided as the plague, feared by all, and basically just be the antagonist of this entire event! All others should take great lengths to avoid you, and if they don’t, well, they’re idiots and you should TAG them! Then you’ll be free from the curse of IT and all that IT stands for, once again a number of the safe! Calling NO TAG-BACKS seems to be the only method of protecting yourself from the next IT, no matter what else happens! Beware! BEWAAAAARE!”

As to who had written the papers, well, the old man selling curious inks in the back alley Marketplace stall reported to slightly bored investigative journalists that a guy/lizard/monster/whatever in copious amounts of grey bought it from him, spewing nonsense about the most dangerous game…
