September 20th, 2016
Governor Ebon Ilnaren,
Rhy'Din City Governor's Office

Dear Sir;
I hope my letter finds you in fine form this morning Governor Ilnaren. I am writing you from the late night hours of my desk after a series of questions have kept me up quite late. I am sure a few have kept you up often during your two terms. I am writing to ask you a few questions since you are still in office and have the experience with Rhy'Din City governing I do not. Some concerns about racial segregation have been brought to my attention as well as rumors of aggression against non-humans. Some are reporting fear of reporting to the Watch for the possibility of being outright attacked by supporters of the Pro-Human movements. How true these reports are, I cannot validate being third hand information told to me.

I merely mention this situation to preface my request and something of a project or initiative I would love to bring to the people whether elected or not. I would like to have some sounding of reason to my proposal of an Equality Act and Bill of Rights for all living and non-living entities that call Rhy'Din their home. I am not sure what kind of disaster I may be walking into so I am hoping to ask a kindness from you and ask your council and thoughts on this idea. Moreover, if it is something even possible, what would be advisable as someone in my position to even start?

Sincerely Yours:
Ammy Loraine Spiritor,
Candidate for Governor 2016,

Dear Lady Spiritor,

The issues raised by the pro-human movement in Rhy'din recently, spearheaded by the Humanity First organization and, to a lesser extent, by Mr. Drumpf's rhetoric, strike home with me in a very personal manner. I lived my childhood in such a society, and I have no wish to see that insanity come to Rhy'din or its surrounding lands.

Fortunately I have faith that the majority of the city's populace shares our disdain for such beliefs. While the Governor cannot dictate policy, it is one of the office's gifts to provide a spotlight, as it were, for such causes as this; witness the Fair Labor Act championed by Fionna Al-Amat during her term, which was adopted by numerous businesses, organizations, and individuals as a stand against slavery.

Whether you win the governorship or not, I heartily support the proposal of a Racial Equality Act, either on your own or in conjunction with other candidates. The latter may even be preferable, as it would show a unified front against this bigotry even in the face of political rivalry. This issue touches all of us, and taking this stand should be an act of conscience and unity.

Please keep me updated, and let me know if I can assist.

At your service,
Ebon Ilnaren
Governor of Rhy'din

Governor Ebon Ilnaren,
Rhy'Din City Governor's Office

Dear Lord Ilnaren,

Thank you for taking the time to receive my letter. We are of the same vein then. I too have been touched much by the vileness that such movements have caused in my former homelands, both as a former human at one point during wars spurned by racial domination, and some time later in the form that I am in now. I was not impressed with the notions from either side. I do have faith as well that the majority of Rhy'Din prevails and these flare ups often subside, but there are the minority of bystanders that do get caught in the crossfires of these flare ups.

The illumination you provide here did solidify some suspicions that one method I have thought about for the Racial Equality Act would have met with disastrous public distaste. May I ask for copies of the Fair Labor Act that Fionna Al-Amat proposed to see how the frame work was done? I wish to ensure I take every responsible step possible to make this palatable for the whole city to take into account and vote upon. As you say, we cannot force something into action otherwise we are no better than what we seek to resolve.

A united front would be ideal, especially if I do not succeed in being elected. It would at least ensure hopefully someone with higher bearing to have backing in it. Is it a fair assumption then to count you among the supporting founders and endorsers of the Racial Equality Act?

I will work out a rough outline and some other supporters as well as candidates with a like mind to mention this too and collect their thoughts and ideas into something workable. I only hope we can do some justice to all though I fear some are still going to be how to say 'out of sorts' with any equality offered.

Sincerely Yours:
Ammy Loraine Spiritor
