RDI Host Program Ending

Good afternoon,

After a period of discussion, we are announcing that the RDI Host program will be closing its doors after more than 25 years, effective July 1st 2017. Everyone who has worn the red apron of an RDI Host, from the early days on AOL and QLink before it, up to this past year, has our deepest thanks and gratitude for your contributions over the years. Though it has not always been an easy job, and frequently a thankless one, you served the community with distinction. Every one of you brought something precious and unique to the RDI, and to Star’s End Bar, and it will not be forgotten.

This will not affect our DUEL calling staff, they will remain on duty as always for your competitive pleasure. This only affects the RDI chat room hosts who serve in the Inn itself.

It should be mentioned that while the hosts will no longer be around, that does not mean the rules are being thrown out. Nothing has changed as far as the guidelines for chat rooms, nor is this to be taken as an opportunity to ignore them. We will take infractions seriously and anyone caught breaking the rules will be punished. You can read the current guidelines here:
