Wyheree sat at the map table in the staterooom, smiling happily as she worked. Instead of maps and articles, however, she was making out a guest list. She and James announced their engagement in the Inn, to the delight and well-wishes of all their friends.

Her eyes misted as she paused in her writing to gaze at the ring James had gotten especially for her. The pear shaped diamonds sparkled in the morning light, reflecting in the fine platinum setting. She smiled - she loved Jamed so much, more than she ever thought possible, and she wished for their wedding to showcase their love for each other.

Still smiling, Wyh bent over her list again, softly humming the melody James sang to her when he first taught her to dance. So much needed to be done - and it seemed things were falling into place. When Wyh told Des about their engagement and asked if she would perform the ceremony, she happily agreed to marry her and James. Rosie gladly agreed to provide all the food for the reception, and when Wyh went to the Isle to share her happiness with Jal, she offered to make her wedding gown as a gift! The material Jal described - a fine white silk threaded all through with silver - sounds just perfect, and with Jal's embroidery the gown would be exquisite. Wyh planned to craft her veil out of fine delicate ice lace, and she also wanted to make the centerpieces for the reception.

Wyheree kept writing down names of those she wished to attend their wedding, softly smiling all the while. They would have the most perfect wedding imaginable - all to celebrate the perfect love James and Wyheree had found.

As Wyh continued to write, her list grew, and grew. Pausing a moment to count the number of family and friends, she gave a little sigh. Less than two weeks was simply not going to be enough time to plan everything as she wished it. She slipped from her seat at the map table and left the stateroom to speak with James a moment...

Wyheree returned to the stateroom a little while later, smiling happily. James understood this was her first wedding, and he wished for everything to be perfect for her. Together they settled on a slightly later date to allow more time for planning and to insure everyone they loved could attend. She circled the new date on the calendar James kept on the wall - November 24th, still at 10:00pm. Visions of gowns, and flowers, and cakes, and James all danced in her mind as she sat down again to plan. The day would be everything she wished it to be, and so much more.

Her work for the day taken care of and Che off to hunt, Jal looked over the length of material spread over the divan in their sitting room. Che and she had worked out how she could do this. This gown was very important. Jaleeisa had promised to make her friend Wyh's wedding gown.

As she looked over the materials, she considered again the conversations she and her Lifemate had about using already formed materials to create clothing. The process was similar to what she used to simply create her own clothing from seemingly nothing. But with a few small differences. The materials all being of the earth, this was something very possible to do. A deep breath, then released, she pictured the gown in her mind, then waved a hand to send the material to the mannequin, weaving the fabric into the design she and Wyh had discussed on the Island.

The white silk shot through with thinly beaten and stretched silver threads wrapped itself caressingly over the bodice, waist and hips of the mannequin. Wrapping close to the form, which she knew to be very close to Wyh's size. The under gown was wrapped in the ancient Elven style used for the gowns of princesses. The material glimmered in the soft candlelight as it wrapped snugly, but comfortably down to the knees, where it flared for ease of movement.

A satisfied nod and anther deep breath drawn as she looked to the material for the overgrown. This a lovely sheer silver silk, so thin you could see skin clearly through it. This, with another wave of hand began to conform itself to the mannequin following the design Jal could see in her mind. An ethereal floating to give fullness to the gown. This brushed the floor and pooled out into a long train.

Stepping back, she walked around the mannequin to examine the gown from all angles. A finger waving to take a tuck here and there to give more of a wispy float to the gown. Straightening the gather of sheer material at one shoulder, she gave another satisfied nod.

Turning, she moved over to her writing desk. There in a large bowl were sapphires that she'd gathered from the mountains. These glittered and glimmered in the soft light. Examining them again to make sure it was all finely crushed, she again thanked the earth for it's offering to this wedding. A soft smile as she heard again both the earth and the sapphire's happiness with her explanation of one who loves the sea wedding one who commands the ice. The earth found it a perfect union and willingly aided Jaleeisa in what was needed for this special gown.

Forming the pictures of the images in her mind, a gently blown breath over the crushed sapphires sent them to form themselves over the hem of the gown and trail down the train in delicate shapes of repeating hearts interspaced with snowflakes and ships on rolling waves. The scrolling connecting them containing ancient Carpathian symbols for health, happiness, strength and love. The same design appeared in smaller, more delicate chains around the neckline and the waist. The sapphires conformed themselves securely to the silk, so they could not be dislodged. On the fullness of the train, the sapphires formed a delicately wrought scene. A ship very reminiscent of the Captain's vessel, which she'd seen, riding the waves. Snowfall dotting the scene as well as several ice floes. A heart rode the breeze in place of the flag the Captain flew.

Studying the gown critically, she shared the vision with her Lifemate. Pride rushing through her at his praise of both the gown and the control of the gifts her conversion to the Carpathian race had brought her. A glance over to her worktable caught the glitter of more silver. Considering a moment, she called the two small sheets to her, forming an image in her mind of delicate slippers. The thin sheets of silver, beaten to a thickness akin to leather, formed themselves into delicate sandals with laces that would wrap up the calves to tie securely. Another breath over the last of the crushed sapphires causing them to drift over the toes of the sandals created in the ancient Elven style to add a soft blue glimmer to the silver. The design a heart.

Stepping back once more as the sandals came to rest at the base of the mannequin, she studied the ensemble once more. Slowly walking around it to examine every angle, tuck and swathe. A serene sense of satisfaction settled over her, along with the glow of pride and love her Lifemate sent washing through her in waves.

Turning away, she waved a hand to douse the candles, leaving the gown and sandals glittering in the moonlight from the window as she moved from the room to join her Lifemate. A hope that Wyh would be pleased in her heart.

It awaited only for Wyh to come for the final fitting.

In the evening, Wyheree received a message from Jal - the gown was ready, and could Wyh come for the final fitting? After finishing her duties aboard ship, she set off to visit Jal, carefully following the directions provided with the note.

As she neared the house, Wyh smiled as she thought about the gown she and Jal had discussed, and she was very eager to see it. She knocked on the door, calling as she did so.

"Jal? It is Wyh - I just received your missive that the gown is finished, and I cannot wait to see it!"
